Steve Mahn grew up maintaining residential investment properties with his parents and grandparents, and volunteering with non-profit home building organizations.
After graduating from the University of Florida with a degree in architectural design, he moved to Boston to work with a high-end residential construction and consulting company. Steve began his construction career as a laborer and apprentice, and worked his way up to lead foreman and project manager over eight years.
In 2020 Steve and his wife, Eileen, relocated to Pennsylvania to start a family and a business of their own. Steve relies heavily on his experience working directly with homeowners to bring their visions to life, and continues to invest in his business and his craft by striving to execute each project to a higher standard than the last.
Much of the work on Velouria Construction’s projects is performed directly by Steve Mahn, though some work (such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC and roofing) is subcontracted out to specialty trades. It is not our goal to perform all of the work in a client’s home, but rather to assemble the best team of tradespeople to deliver the best finished project. Our primary goal is to make sure the homeowner’s voice is heard along the way, have their back and to encourage them to dream big.
